Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday clarified that all eligible women members of a family will receive benefits under the SUBHADRA Yojana, eliminating earlier confusion over beneficiary selection.
“We will fulfil our pre-election promise,” Parida said, emphasizing that the flagship program is for all women, excluding the economically strong section and high-income group. Approximately 1.8 crore women will benefit from this initiative,” Parida told media persons.
She clarified that all eligible women in a family will receive the benefit, regardless of the number of eligible women in the household. Widows receiving allowance and girls receiving scholarships are also eligible for the assistance.
Each beneficiary will receive Rs 50,000 as promised in the party’s manifesto, she said.
