Puri: On the occasion of New Year, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a 25 ft high sand sculpture of Mahaprabhu Jagannath at Blue Flag Beach in Puri to welcome New Year.
Pattnaik created the deities of Lord Jagannath. He decorated the sculpture with flowers and wrote the message “Jai Jagannath”.
“Jai Jagannath…A very Happy New Year! May Mahaprabhu Jagannath bless all of us,” he stated on X handle.

In another, he also created an art spreading awareness on a pollution free environemnt.

Sudarsan Pattnaik, a Padma awardee participated in number of of international sand art competitions and festivals around the world.
Pattnaik’s sand arts remain based on social awareness and current issues.
He always tries to do something different in sand art. One every festival and special days, he wishes and spread awareness through his marvelous work.
