Sudarshan Patnaik Creates World Record With Apple-Sand Santa Claus On Christmas Eve

Bhubaneswar: Puri-based sand eminent artist Sudarshan Patnaik has created a new world record with the largest apple-sand installation of Santa Claus at Niladri Beach in Puri.

The sculpture, measuring 60-ft long, 22-ft high, and 45-ft wide, is made with 1.5 tons of apples and sand, carrying a message of “World Peace” and “Merry Christmas”.

Patnaik, a Padma Shri awardee, created the sculpture with the help of 30 students from his Sand Art Institute as part of the 22nd Puri Sand Art Festival. This unique installation aims to spread a message of peace, happiness, and global unity during the festive season.
