Mercury Rises

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is experiencing a sudden surge in temperatures, with 19 places recording temperatures above 30°C, marking the onset of summer.

Jharsuguda has led the pack with a maximum temperature of 32.5°C, followed by the state capital Bhubaneswar at 31.2°C. Interestingly, some areas are still experiencing mild winter conditions, with minimum night temperatures hovering below 15°C .

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts dry weather to prevail over Odisha’s districts on Wednesday, with shallow to moderate fog likely in several areas, including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, and others. Similar fog conditions are expected on Thursday in the same districts.

No significant change in minimum temperatures is expected over the next four days, but a drop of 2-3°C is predicted over the subsequent three days.
