Bhubaneswar: The summer vacation of the High Court of Orissa begins on Monday and will continue till June 20. However, the High Court’s vacation jury will work for hearing urgent cases during the vacation.
During the holidays, the vacation jury will hear urgent cases on May 25 and 30 and on June 1, 6, 8, 12, and 13. The urgent cases can be heard on May 23 and 25 by a two-member bench of Justice KR Mahapatra and Justice MS Sahu and the one-member bench of Justice V Narsingh and Justice Chittaranjan Das.
Similarly, on May 30, urgent cases will be heard by the one-man jury of Justice KR Mohapatra and Justice MS Sahu and Justice V Narsingh, and Justice Gaurish. On June 1, a two-member jury of Justice SK Sahu and Justice MS Raman and a one-man jury of Justice BP Rautarai and Justice Gaurish will hear the cases. On June 6 and 8, a two-member bench of Justice SK Sahu and Justice MS Raman, and a one-man bench of Justice Shashikant Mishra, and Justice BP Shatpathi will hear the case. On June 12 and 13, a two-member jury of Justice Shashikant Mishra and Justice SK Mishra and a one-man jury of Justice Aditya Kumar Mahapatra and Justice BP Shetpathi will hear urgent cases.
Urgent cases that cannot wait until the court reopens after summer vacation will be filed at the Computer Filing Counter on working days between 11:00 am and 12:00 noon. They will be listed for hearing before a special jury.
