Bhubaneswar: Gold deposits have been found in three districts of Odisha so far. Steel and Mines Minister Prafulla Kumar Mallick said today in the State Assembly that Geological Survey of India and Directorate of Mines surveys have revealed gold deposits in Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
In Deogarh’s Adasa region, Gold, Copper, Silver and Nickel have been found. Similarly, in Keonjhar, Gopur, Galipur, Kushakala, Adala and Telkoi areas have gold deposits.
In Mayurbhanj, GSI and Directorate of Mines surveys have found gold deposits in Jashipur, Suriaguda, Ruansi, Dhusura Pahad, Maredihi and Badam areas, Mallick said in a reply to a question raised by MLA Sudhir Kumar Samal.
