Bhubaneswar: The Task Force Committee constituted by the Industries Department to review the status of implementation of infrastructure projects for the industrial sector met today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anu Garg at Lok Seva Bhawan.
The Chief Secretary directed all concerned departments and agencies to resolve issues related to project implementation and complete the pending work within the stipulated time frame. She stressed the need to expedite the execution of major industrial infrastructure and highway projects across the state.
In the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various issues arising during the progress of key projects. The Committee emphasized expediting approvals required for land acquisition, power supply infrastructure, and administrative clearances. The Chief Secretary asked departments, IDCO and the district administration to work in a coordinated and priority manner to remove bottlenecks.
She also directed that project-related discussions be held with Secretaries, District Collectors and heads and representatives of concerned industrial organizations, and that a specific time frame be set for completing all works. The meeting focused on resolving problems related to power supply to project sites, road connectivity, water supply and other statutory approvals to ensure smooth and faster implementation of major infrastructure projects.
Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Principal Secretaries of Works, Water Resources, Power, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Departments, and Managing Director, IDCO attended the meeting along with senior officials of various departments, heads of industrial establishments and their representatives.
District Collectors of Anugola, Bhadrak, Kataka, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jharsuguda, Rayagada, Sundaragada, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Kandhamal and other districts where projects are being implemented or are under implementation joined the meeting virtually.
