Nayagarh: No matter what your financial background is, if you are serious about your ambition, nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams.
This is the inspiring story of Srinibas Sarangi, a young man from Kandhamal’s Phulbani area, who has cracked the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) exam, securing an impressive 73rd rank.
His journey is a testament to the power of hard work and determination. His father runs a small tea stall in Phulbani. Despite the financial constraints, Sarangi’s parents encouraged him to continue his education, recognising his potential to transform their lives. He completed his graduation and post-graduation from Phulbani Government College and Utkal University, respectively.
For the past three years, Srinivas has been working as a cabin crew member with Akash Airlines while residing in Bangalore.
In a video message, he shared his journey, stating that working as a cabin crew member requires spending most of his time on flights, travelling across India and sometimes abroad. Despite this, he always makes time to study diligently, which has led to his success today.
“Coming from a place like Kandhamal, I want to contribute to the upliftment of tribal and underprivileged communities,” he said.
He also acknowledges the support of his family and friends, who stood by him throughout his journey. “My father always supported the family by running a small tea shop”, said Srinibas.
According to him, the key to cracking competitive exams lies in perseverance and dedication. “Hard work and patience are the only mantras for success,” he opined.
