Teacher Killed In Road Accident Involving BDO’s Vehicle

Sambalpur: A teacher died after being hit by a Bolero carrying Kuchinda Block Development Officer (BDO) near Mantrimunda under Kuchinda police limits in Sambalpur district, on Tuesday.

As per reports, Kuchinda BDO Jayant Sahu was on an official visit to a Plus II College in Kusumi for an inspection, travelling in his government-assigned vehicle, when the accident occurred. While returning from Kusumi to Kuchinda, his four-wheeler collided with a scooter. As a result Sankar Munda (45), a teacher from Kundesara village under Kuchinda police limits, sustained severe injuries.

Police rushed Munda to Sub-Divisional Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Police, meanwhile, seized the four-wheeler and detained its driver for further investigation.
