Bhubaneswar: Four stations in Odisha today recorded maximum temperature above 39 degree Celsius.
While Angul recorded 39.7 degree Celsius, Baripada recorded 39.2, Titilagarh 39 and Sonepur 39.5.
Similarly, as many as 21 stations across Odisha have recorded a maximum temperature of above 36 degree Celsius.
The state capital Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum temperature of 38.1 degree Celsius and Cuttack recorded 38 degree Celsius.
The seaside town of Gopalpur recorded the lowest maximum temperature of 32.6 degree Celsius.
The IMD has issued yellow warning for heatwave conditions in the districts of Angul, Balasore, Boudh, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Sambalpur and Sonepur from March 16 to March 19.
Special Relief Commissioner’s (SRC’s) office has alerted Collectors of these districts and issued an advisory in connection with the IMD’s forecast.
