Balasore: In a daylight robbery under Kamarda police station in Balasore district, miscreants made off with gold jewelry worth Rs 5 lakh from a jewellery shop.
According to reports, the shop owner had gone to fetch water, leaving behind a bag containing 300 grams of gold jewellery and cash. Upon his return, he found the bag missing.
The shop owner immediately searched the surrounding area but couldn’t find the stolen items. He then filed a complaint at the Kamarda police station.
Based on a complaint filed by shop owner, police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
This brazen robbery has sent shockwaves in the locality.
