Baripada: Forest department officials on Friday arrested three persons for allegedly setting snares and traps to hunt wild animals inside the Similipal Wildlife Sanctuary.
According to an official statement, the accused have been identified as Bikram Sing, alias Biki (20), Bira Sing, alias Rabi (20), and Dehuri Sing, alias Jala (26).
All three are residents of Hudisahi (Aswakuti) village, located in Labanyadeipur gram panchayat under the Sarat police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
The accused were presented in court following their arrest.
