Three Children Drown In Baitarani River In Jajpur, One Girl Still Missing

Bhubaneswar: Three children drowned while taking bath at the Garadeswar Ghat in the Baitarani River in Jajpur district on Thursday.

Till the last report came in, two children were rescued, but one girl is still missing.

According to reports, the incident happened on Thursday at around 11 am when three siblings and their cousin entered the river to bathe. Unfortunately, they were swept away by the strong current of the river.

A relative who was present at the scene alerted others, and a local fisherman managed to rescue two of the children. However, one girl is still missing, and search operations are underway.

Upon being informed, the fire brigade team has arrived at the scene and is continuing the search operation.
