Three Killed As Ambulance Hits Dumper From Behind In Bhadrak

Bhadrak: As many as three persons died and one sustained injuries when the ambulance they were travelling in hit a dumper from the rear near Maitapur in Bhadrak district on National Highway 16, on Saturday.

According to sources, Dibakar Jena, a resident of Palasia village under Bhogarai police station was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital for the last few days.  After his death, his son, son-in-law and daughter-in-law were carrying Dibakar’s body to his hometown in the ambulance. It was when the mishap took place killing three persons including Dibakar’s son Sanjay Jena, son-in-law Sudhanshu Dalai and the ambulance driver Dilip Singh.

Sanjay’s mother, Savitri Jena, is critically injured and is currently undergoing treatment at Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital.

Bhadrak MLA Sanjib Mallick visited the hospital and met with the family members of the deceased, offering his condolences.
