Three Labourers Killed After Bike Falls Into 150-Ft Ditch In Mayurbhanj; Bodies Recovered

Bhubaneswar: Three labourers died in a tragic road accident in Gorumahisani police station area after their bike fell into a ditch about 150 feet below a hill.

According to reports, the three had gone to Goradapani village under Gorumahisani police station on Thursday morning for tent work at a wedding function. While returning home on a bike from the hill at night, they lost balance and fell into a deep ditch.

The bodies were spotted on Friday afternoon by cattle grazers, who informed villagers. The villagers reached the spot, identified the deceased, and alerted police.

The deceased have been identified as Manaj Mundari (30) and Manaj Mundi (30) of Sanjhari village in Sudarshanpur, and Birsingh Munda (30) of Dudhichua village. Police reached the spot in the evening and recovered the bodies at night. The bodies were sent to Rairangpur Sub-divisional Hospital for post-mortem.

An accident case has been registered at Gorumahisani police station. Post-mortem is expected to be conducted on Saturday.
