Bhubaneswar: Three live bombs were discovered on the Kamapalli overbridge near jail boundary wall in Berhampur, sparking panic among locals.
The Baidyanathpur police station was informed, and a team arrived at the scene to investigate. A bomb disposal squad was also called in to defuse the improvised bombs.
Some weapons like swords, liquor bottles, tobacco pouches, and water bottles were found lying beside the bombs. These were seized by police.
The locals are frightened, and a crowd has gathered at the spot. The bomb disposal team is working to safely defuse the bombs. The motive behind placing the bombs and the identity of the person responsible remain unclear. The investigation is underway.
