Bhubaneswar: Three separate cases have been registered in Cuttack, Sambalpur, and Deogarh districts of Odisha following hoax bomb threats received via email at district courts.
The IP address of the email has been examined, and investigations are underway with the help of the Crime Branch and a central team. The email is believed to have originated from foreign countries, using private networks across multiple countries.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the situation at a high-level meeting, confirming the threats were hoaxes.
Agencies like the Bomb Detection Squad and Quick Reaction Team investigated the incidents. Majhi directed the police to issue a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and strengthen bomb squads with modern training.
