Bhubaneswar: A spell of thundershower accompanied by lightning brought much-needed relief from the scorching heat in Bhubaneswar this evening.
Gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 Kmph was also reported in the city.
A similar spell of thunderstorm is also expected in some parts of Cuttack, Khordha, Nayagarh, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Balasore, and Bhadrak during the next three hours, according to a now cast yellow warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 9.00 PM today.
The IMD has advised people to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
