Bhubaneswar: Moderate rain/thundershower with lightning and one or two intense/heavy spell of rain is likely to affect some districts of Jagatsinghpur, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Jajpur, Kendrapara, and Balasore within next three hours, warned a Nowcast Warning issued the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 5.00 PM today. The IMD has issued an ‘Orange’ alert in this connection for the aforementioned districts.
The IMD said water logging in low-lying areas, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas is likely. Avoid movement in the affected area and do arrangements for the drainage of excess water, it added.
