Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm activity across 14 districts of Odisha for the next three days.
For Day-1, valid upto 08:30 am of September 30, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind with speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Sundaragada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada.
The same warning will continue for Day-2, valid from 08:30 am of September 30 to 08:30 am of October 1. During this period also, thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely at one or two places over Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Sundaragada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada.
For Day-3, valid from 08:30 am of October 1 to 08:30 am of October 2, the IMD has issued a similar yellow warning. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind upto 30-40 kmph is very likely at one or two places over Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Sundaragada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada.
