Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a yellow warning for nine Odisha districts, forecasting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rain during the next three hours.
According to a nowcast issued by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, at 4.40 pm, the weather conditions are likely to affect Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Anugola, Rayagada, Kendujhar, Gajapati, Baleshwar, Bhadrak and Debagada districts.
The weather office advised people in the affected areas to keep a watch on deteriorating weather conditions and plan their activities accordingly for safety.
