Thunderstorm Likely In 15 Districts Of Odisha In Next 3 Hours: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued a nowcast warning predicting light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, rain, and gusty winds of 30–40 km/h in 15 districts of Odisha over the next three hours.

According to the 5 pm bulletin, the districts likely to be affected include Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Puri, Nayagarh, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Kandhamal, Koraput, and Ganjam.

The IMD has advised residents in these areas to stay alert, monitor weather updates, and move to safer locations if conditions worsen. People have been urged to take precautions against lightning strikes and strong winds.
