Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning predicting light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in two districts of Odisha in the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 2: 20 pm on Wednesday, light thunderstorms with lightning, moderate rainfall, and surface wind speeds reaching up to 40 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places over Nayagarh and Khordha districts within the next three hours.
The weather office has advised people in the affected districts to remain alert and avoid taking shelter under trees during thunderstorms.
