Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday warned of thunderstorm with lightning at several places in Odisha for the next three days i.e. till September 3 to 5 and heavy rainfall on September 5 and 6.
Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore on September 3.
Over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri on September 4.
Similarly, over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, and Balasore on September 5.
Also heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj on the same day.
On September 6, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi, and Nawarangpur.
