Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light rain over isolated places in the districts of Nayagarh, Puri, and Ganjam in Odisha.
The warning, issued at 14:45 pm, is valid for the next three hours. Residents in these coastal and adjoining districts are advised to remain vigilant as conditions could worsen suddenly.
According to the IMD bulletin, people should keep a close watch on the weather updates, be prepared to move to safer locations, especially to protect themselves from lightning strikes, avoid open fields, tall trees, or unsecured structures during the thunderstorm activity.
