Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) of Bhubaneswar has issued yellow warning for heavy rainfall and thunderstorm activity across Odisha for the next six days.
For Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 13.09.2026), a Yellow Warning for heavy rainfall has been issued. Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Baragada, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri.
For the same period, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind with wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Sambalpur, Debagada, Anugola, Dhenkanal, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamala, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada.
For Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 13.09.2026 to 0830 hrs IST of 14.09.2026), Yellow Warning has been issued for thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind reaching upto 30-40 kmph, very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Nayagada.
For Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 14.09.2026 to 0830 hrs IST of 15.09.2026), thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind reaching upto 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Koraput and Gajapati.
For Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 15.09.2026 to 0830 hrs IST of 16.09.2026), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj.
For Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 16.09.2026 to 0830 hrs IST of 17.09.2026), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj.
For Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 17.09.2026 to 0830 hrs IST of 18.09.2026), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Mayurbhanj.
