Thunderstorms Likely In Mayurbhanj & Balasore Districts In Next 3 Hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts, warning of impending thunderstorms and heavy rain in the next three hours.

According to the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 11:45 am, light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and surface wind speeds of 30-40 kmph are expected to affect some parts of these districts within the next two to three hours. Light to moderate rain is also likely in these areas.

In light of this warning, residents are advised to exercise caution and keep a close watch on the weather. People are urged to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
