Bhubaneswar: Three districts are likely to witness light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain within the next three hours, according to the prediction of the India Meteorological Department.
According to nowcast warning issued by IMD at 2.25 pm, Gajapati, Ganjam and Kalahandi districts are going to be affected by the weather conditions.
Residents are advised to stay alert and keep a watch on the weather. Gusty surface wind speeds are expected to reach 30-40 kmph, and people are warned to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for these districts. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions and stay updated on the latest weather forecast.
