Puri: A major fire broke out at a timber factory on Nabakalebar Road in Puri town around midnight of December 14 and 15. Timber worth lakhs of rupees was gutted in the fire.
Reportedly, the mishap occurred at the Jagannath Supply Syndicate. Upon getting information, the fire brigade arrived at the spot and tried to control the situation.
The fire was so intense that it was difficult to bring it under control. While a short circuit is suspected to be the reason behind the fire, it is yet to be ascertained.
