Traffic Advisory

Bhubaneswar: The Police Commissionerate of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the 4th Session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly, scheduled to be held from September 18 to September 25, 2025.

To ensure smooth traffic flow and heightened security around the State Assembly premises, several traffic regulations will be enforced under Section 28 of the Odisha Urban Police Act, 2003, and Regulation 36 of the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate (Traffic and Public Order) Regulation, 2008.

According to the advisory, Vehicles coming from Housing Board Square towards Rabindra Mandap will be diverted at Keshari Talkies Square. Traffic from AG Square towards PMG will be redirected via Jaydev Bhawan, proceeding along Indira Gandhi Park Road. Vehicles approaching from the Master Canteen side towards PMG will be diverted near adjoining lanes at Lower PMG. Vehicles from 120 Infantry Battalion Square will be barred from proceeding towards Rabindra Mandap and diverted towards Power House Square. Traffic from Raj Bhawan Square heading towards MLA Colony and Rabindra Mandap will be rerouted towards Shastri Nagar Square.

The restrictions will be in force throughout the Assembly session period and will not apply to emergency vehicles, including police, fire, and ambulance services, or those authorised to enter official buildings such as the State Assembly and Lok seva Bhawan.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and cooperate with traffic officials during this period.
