Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate has issued a traffic advisory for the upcoming Rath Yatra, Bahuda Yatra, and Sunabesha of the ISKON Temple in Bhubaneswar. The events are scheduled to take place on June 27, July 5, and July 6, respectively.
Traffic Restrictions and Diversions
For Rath Yatra and Bahuda Yatra: From 3:00 PM onwards, heavy vehicles from Khordha side will not be allowed on the service road towards Fire Station Square until the chariots pass CRP Square. Additionally, vehicles will not be permitted on certain stretches of road, including:
- DAV School, Unit-VIII to Mausimaa Mandir and CRP Square
- CRP Square towards the ISKCON Temple
- Service road from the Kasturba School side and the Nayapalli underpass side towards the CRP Square
For Sunabesha: No vehicles will be allowed to ply from CRP Square towards ISKCON Temple from 5 PM till the end of Sunabesha Darshan.
Important Info
Emergency vehicles, such as police, fire, and ambulance, are exempt from these restrictions.
The Commissionerate Police has, however, requested the public to plan their route accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during these events.
