Cuttack: A 27-year-old youth sustained severe injuries after falling off the Mahanadi Overbridge in Cuttack in the wee hours of Thursday.
The injured youth has been identified as Satish Rout.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 4 am when Satish was riding his two-wheeler towards Chhatia. He reportedly fell off the bridge when his motorcycle was allegedly sideswiped by a speeding truck.
Upon receiving the information, fire department personnel from Chauliaganj rushed to the scene and rescued Rout. He was then taken to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.
