Bhubaneswar: An elephant who had entered a pond to drink water has reportedly got stuck in the waterbody in Badasahi Forest Range under Sambalpur Forest Division.
Villagers in the area say the elephant was stranded when it came to drinking water last night. It got trapped in the mud and is unable to get out despite several efforts.
Meanwhile, forest department officials are making arrangements to rescue the elephant from the mud.
