Rayagada: Police on Saturday arrested two individuals in connection with the murder of Druku Shikaka at Kulerpeta village in the Niyamagiri hills under Muniguda police limits of Rayagada district. The incident occurred last Wednesday.
“We have arrested Batku Shikaka and Lakhan Shikaka of Kulerpeta village in connection with Wednesday’s brutal murder of Druku Shikaka, also from the same village,” informed Santoshini Oram, SDPO of Bissamcuttack.
According to SDPO Oram, Batku and Lakhan allegedly killed Druku using an axe due to past enmity. “We have recovered the body, and the post-mortem has been conducted. The axe used in the murder has also been seized,” Oram added.
