Jeypore: Locals spotted two blood-soaked bodies on the road under Baipariguda police limits in Odisha’s Koraput district on Thursday morning. While the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, police suspect that the duo died in a road accident late on Wednesday night.
According to reports, the deceased were run over by a speeding truck enroute to Jeypore while they were returning from a New Year feast. The bodies were recovered near Meuli village in the district.
On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. The police have also launched an investigation into the accident.
