Two Brothers Drown In Pond In Sundargarh Village

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic accident, two brothers lost their lives while bathing in a pond at Jhupurunga village under Hemgir police station in Sundargarh district, on Friday night.

According to reports, the younger brother began drowning while bathing in the village pond. Witnessing this, his elder brother rushed to rescue him but unfortunately also drowned in the process.

Upon receiving the distress call, local police and the fire department promptly arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies of both brothers. The deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination.

Further investigations are underway.
