Two Brothers Killed After Being Hit By Pickup Van In Balangir

Bhubaneswar: Two brothers were killed in a road accident when a pickup van hit their bike near Larkí village under Turekela police station in Balangir district, on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Rajkumar Ray and Dilesh Ray, both residents of Bhalukhai village under Belapada police station.

According to reports, the brothers were on their way to Turekela area when the accident occurred. Rajkumar died on the spot, while Dilesh breathed his last on the way to Turekela Hospital. The pickup van driver absconded the scene after the mishap.

Meanwhile, Turekela police have recovered the bodies and sent them to Kantabanji Hospital for post-mortem.

The incident has created a stir in the area, with locals demanding strict action against the perpetrator.
