Bhubaneswar: A road accident on National Highway 20 near Rimuli under Champua police limits in Keonjhar district on Tuesday morning left six people injured, including two CBSE Class X students.
It is reported that two students of Jhumpura Adarsha Vidyalaya were going to Kerala English Medium Public School in Champua by car to take their exams today when the mishap took place. The students suffered minor injuries and received treatment at Champua Sub-Divisional Hospital. They were discharged soon after the treatment and left to appear for the examination as condition reported as stable.
According to eyewitnesses, a series accident occurred when a truck, carrying a load of iron rods, swerved to avoid a collision, causing a pile-up involving the car carrying the students and a bike. The car driver and two bikers were also injured and taken to hospital.
Champua police have launched an investigation into the incident.
