Bhubaneswar: Two Chinese sailors from the vessel MV Lucky Dragon fell into the sea while the vessel was docked at the Paradip International Cargo Terminal (PICT) berth. Unfortunately, one crew member is still missing after the incident, while the other was rescued.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the sailors might have slipped on a wet surface, but the exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined. Marine Police and local authorities have reached the site to support the operation.
Meanwhile, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), along with port authorities, has launched a thorough search operation to locate the missing sailor. Divers, patrol boats, and an Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) team from Jagatsinghpur have been deployed to aid in the rescue efforts. If necessary, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) may also be called in to assist.
Port officials confirmed that both sailors were Chinese nationals. While one was rescued, search operations are underway to trace the missing crew member.
