Bhubaneswar: Two Class X students were injured when they were on their way to the examination centre at Bahanaga block in Balsore district on Monday.
According to reports, Mamata Majhi and Jyotiprava Majhi, students of Abhana Nodal High School, were hit by a motorbike near Bishnupur Nodal High School Centre when they were going to appear board examination. They were subsequently rescued by locals and rushed to Gopalpur Community Health Centre.
As Jyotiprava’s condition deteriorated, she has been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment while Mamata is being treated at Gopalpur Community Health Centre.
The rider has been detained by police. Both students had to miss their exam due to the accident.
