Keonjhar: Two female elephants were electrocuted after they came in contact with a live wire on the premises of Krishi Vigyan Kendra under Sadar range in Keonjhar on Wednesday evening.
Reportedly, an elephant herd had entered the Krishi Vigyan Kendra yesterday. The two elephants were feeding on the branches of a tree when they came in contact with the low-lying electric wire
On getting information, forest department officials reached the spot today morning and launched an inquiry into the incident. They alleged that the electric department is not taking any action over the low-lying electric wire.
