Minor Drowns, One Missing After Boat Capsizes In Odisha’s Brahmani River

Kendrapara: At least two people, including a minor, went missing after a boat capsized in the Brahmani river in the Aul area of Kendrapara district in Odisha on Thursday morning. Later, the rescuers fished out the body of a minor from the river.

According to reports, around 30 people and 10 bikes were aboard the country boat when it capsized in the early hours of Thursday. The mishap took place when the ill-fated boat was on its way from Ekamania to Keradagarh of Rajnagar. After covering some distance, the boat lost control and capsized, sources informed.

On being informed, Fire Service personnel reached the spot and launched a search and rescue operation. While most passengers have been rescued, two persons are reported to be missing.
