Khurda: Two persons sustained critical injuries in a series of bombings by two rival groups at Taraboi village under Jatani police limits in Odisha’s Khurda district on Monday night.
The bombings were a fall-out of a group clash following a minor altercation. A number of two-wheelers were damaged in the incident.
According to reports, trouble started when a few youths hurled abuses at a man going to Taraboi village. Sometime later, the man returned with his supporters and a verbal altercation started between the two rival groups. The situation soon turned ugly and resulted in bombings, injuring two people and damaging three two-wheelers.
On being informed, a team from the Jatani police station reached Taraboi and stopped the group clash. A complaint has been lodged in this connection at the Jatani police station but no arrests have been made so far. A police picket has been set up at the village to avert any further disturbance.
