Cuttack: Two persons were injured in a firing after an extortion bid on a firecrackers trader at Banara village under Banki police limits in Cuttack district on Sunday.
The injured persons identified as Saroj Kumar Sahu of Banara and Ganeswar Sahu of Ramchandi were admitted to SCB Medical College & Hospital.
The main accused identified as Bunty Patra fled from the spot after the incident. His father and brother have been detained by police at Banki Police Station.
