Bhubaneswar: Two youths were killed while another has escaped with severe injuries in a head-on collision between a Pulsar and a KTM bike.
Such a tragic incident took place on National Highway 326 near Panchda village under Kakiriguma police station in Koraput district.
While two youths were going from Koraput on a KTM bike, a young man was coming from the opposite direction riding a pulser. The bikes collided head-on near Chowdhury Cross. The accident was so severe that all the three people on the separate bikes were thrown on the road.
Two people died on the spot while another sustained serious injuries. Locals took the injured youth to Koraput Shahid Laxman Nayak Medical College by ambulance.
The identity of the deceased youths has not yet been established. Police seized both bodies and bikes. An investigation has been launched.
Bodies have been sent for post-mortem, police said.
