Baripada: Two persons were killed after an auto-rickshaw they were travelling by was hit by a speeding car at Baripada in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Monday morning.
According to reports, the fatal mishap occurred near Manchabandha on National Highway No 18 in Baripada. The driver of the auto-rickshaw and a passenger of the vehicle were killed on the spot. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
On being informed, the local police reached the spot, recovered the bodies and sent them to Baripada Hospital for post-mortem. The police have initiated an investigation into the accident.
