Bhubaneswar: A special team of experts, led by Odisha doctor Smruti Mishra, is providing medical care to veteran Ollywood actor Uttam Mohanty at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, Haryana. According to reports, Mohanty remains under ventilator support, but his condition is stable. His son, actor Babusan, hopes that his father’s condition will continue to improve.
The medical team is closely monitoring the Odia superstar’s health condition around the clock. Mohanty is suffering from cirrhosis of the liver. Meanwhile, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited Medanta Hospital and enquired about Mohanty’s health condition. The Minister discussed the situation with Babusan and his wife Trupti, and assured them of full support for better treatment.
Mohanty, who was initially undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, was airlifted to Medanta Hospital on Friday after his condition deteriorated. He was accompanied by his son Babusan and his daughter-in-law Trupti.
A recipient of numerous awards and accolades, Mohanty has starred in over 130 Odia, Bengali, and Hindi films throughout his 40-year career.
