Two Killed In Bike-Bus Collision Near Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A biker and his pillion rider, a woman were killed in a head-on collision between the bike and a bus near the market yard between Sikrapali and Kukudapali under Sasan police limits in Sambalpur district on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Sabita Nikhandia and Saroj Nayak.

According to reports, while Sabita was pillion riding with Saroj on his bike on the way to their village a bus coming from the opposite side hit them. Under the impact of the collision, both fell from the bike.

Locals rushed them to the District Headquarters Hospital here. However, they were declared dead by the doctors at the hospital.

The accident-causing bus fled the spot after the collision. Sasan police have launched an investigation into the incident.
