Two Killed In Bike-Bus Head-On Collision In Bolangir

Bhubaneswar: Two people were killed after a two-wheeler collided head-on with a bus near the Rampur petrol pump in the Patnagarh area of Odisha’s Bolangir district.

The deceased have been identified as Asit Meher and Maleya Manhira, both residents of Tusura. According to sources, the accident occurred when the deceased were on their way to attend a marriage party.

The bike collided with the Jai Matadi Night Express bus near the Rampur petrol pump after crossing a divider leading to the death of two persons on the spot. Both vehicles were moving at high speed while crossing the divider.

On being informed, Patnagarh police and Fire Services reached the spot and seized the bodies. The police have launched an investigation into the mishap.
