Two Killed, One Critical After Scooter Hits Stationary Truck On NH 16

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, two out of the three young men who were travelling on a scooter were killed after hitting a stationary lorry on Tapang flyover on National Highway no. 16 under Khordha Sadar police limits on Friday evening.

According to reports, the other critically injured youth who has been identified as Sanjay Martha of Godipada under Sarankula police limits of Nayagarh district has been shifted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar.

While one of the deceased youth has been identified as Bidhinath Mallick of Tulasipur under Banki police limits in Cuttack district, the identity of the other deceased has not yet been established.

Following the accident, the three youths were rushed to the district headquarters hospital at Khordha. Doctors at the district headquarters hospital declared two of them dead while referring the critically injured to a hospital in Bhubaneswar.
